Block the programs you pick
Choose the programs that pull you away, like Discord, Steam, the Epic Games launcher, games, messaging apps or Spotify. Focus blocks them during a session.
Focus for Windows is a free app blocker for Windows 10 and 11. Pick the programs that pull you away, like Discord, Steam or a game, and start a focus session. Until the timer ends, Focus minimizes a blocked program whenever it comes to the front and shows its block screen instead. Nothing is closed, so you don't lose unsaved work.
Focus for Windows isn't out yet. Focus for Android is available now in early access on Google Play.
Strict sessions, schedules and a block screen that points you back to work, without closing anything you have open.

When a blocked program comes to the front, Focus minimizes it. Nothing is closed, so unsaved work in it isn't lost.
Focus shows its block screen with other things to do: write the thought down, solve a 30-second brain puzzle, take a break, or go back to work.
Strict sessions can't be ended early, and Focus can't be quit from the tray until the timer ends. Standard sessions can end early after a short puzzle, which costs 50 XP and resets your streak.
Schedules start sessions on their own on the days and times you set. Block rules set daily limits.
Close the window and Focus keeps running in the system tray, so blocking and schedules keep working. “Start with Windows” is optional and stays off until you turn it on.
A small timer stays above your other windows, so the time left is always in view.
Press Ctrl+N to park a thought and get back to work, or open full notes. Ctrl+1 to Ctrl+4 move between the app's sections.
12 brain-training games, plus progress charts that show how you're doing.
